Question 5

If a new medicine were developed that would cure arthritis but cause a fatal reaction in 1 percent of those who took it, would you want it to be released to the public.

Ok so this is something that I would need to make more specific to myself to give an honest answer.  The way it is, I would say that it should be the up to the person who's going to take it.  Their life there choice right?  And here's the contradiction, if it were someone I loved there would be no way I'd risk even a percent of a chance of losing them.  Selfish as it may be, that's how I feel about it, there are medicines out there that help with pain from arthritis and I would push that first.  So no, I would not want it released to the public, they can take it back to the drawing board and get rid of that 1% chance first.
