Question 66

Do you feel that advice from older people carries a special weight because of their greater experience?

Yes!  Their years of knowledge give them an edge that younger generations don't necessarily have.  Now that's to be taken with a grain of salt because yes their advice is certainly more valuable but you as the taker have to know how to apply it to the current place and time that you are in.  If you can't do that then of course it's going to seem misguided. Knowledge is great, but wisdom is priceless.

Question 65

When you tell a story, do you often exaggerate or embellish it? If so, why?

No I don't, I'm actually really bad at telling stories, I get too caught up in detail that I forget my point and when I'm not doing that my stories are awkwardly short.  That's why I like writing, I get to re-read everything and organize and consolidate my thoughts, it just works out better.

Question 64

You and a person you love deeply are placed in separate rooms with a button next to each of you. You know that you will both be killed unless one of you presses your button before 60 minutes pass; furthermore, the first to press the button will save the other person, but will immediately be killed. What do you think you would do?

I'd press the button first, get it over with, there's no way I'd be able to live with myself if I didn't do everything I could to save the other, and I wouldn't know when or if they would press it, so as fast as possible is best. I'd be killed immediately so at least it wouldn't be a slow drawn out death, I could come to terms with that.

Question 63

Assume there were a technological breakthrough that would allow people to travel as easily and cheaply between continents as between nearby cities. Unfortunately, There would also be 100,000 deaths a year from the device. Would you try to prevent its use?

Ok so in looking at other modes of transportation, and this is info from 2009:  Total highway related deaths came to 33,808.  Of course safer would be traveling by plane which resulted in only 543 deaths that year. So I don't think I could stop anyone from trying this as much as I could stop a person from getting behind the wheel of a car. It's a person's right to choose how they risk their lives and as long as they aren't hurting anyone else along the way I don't see a problem with it.  I just don't think I'd want to try it, and I really like flying so I don't think I'll be giving that up anytime soon.

You can find the statistics I used at the following HTML:

If you walked out of your house one morning and saw a bird with a broken wing huddled in some nearby bushes, what would you do?

Awww man, this is going to make me sound awful. I really don't like birds, truthfully I would be thinking, " Yes!! One less bird to shit on my car!"  Now if it were a dog, that would be a completely different story.

Question 59

By controlling medical research funds, you are in the position to guarantee that a cure will be found in 15 years for any disease you choose. Unfortunately, no progress on any others would be made during that period. Would you target one disease?

This is an aweful question... if that were the case I couldn't very well just target one. I'd probably have a list, top of it would be cancer, that one's a bit close to home so it would be first. The rest would be based on whatever affects humans most.

Question 58

A good friend pulls off a wel-conceived practival joke that plays on one of your foibles and makes you look ridiculous. How would you react?

Well first of all I had to look up what "foibles" meant...second of all, do what I always do in uncomfortable situations. Laugh!!

Question 57

Would you be willing to give up sex for one year if you knew it would give you a much deeper sense of peace than you have now?
Willing...yes, able to...probably not.  I would also have to give up alcohol, that's when I'm at my weakest. *~* I'd probably also have to just stay away from men period, that would solve the problem. haha.

Question 56

If found that a good friend had AIDS, would you avoid him? What if your brother or sister had it?
No I wouldn't avoid them; I'm not ignorant enough to think that AIDS is an airborne contagion.  Brother, sister, good friend, wouldn't matter to me. I know how the disease is contracted and as long as I stay away from any of those intrusive actions, I'd be fine.

Question 55

Would you like your spouse to be both smarter and more attractive than you?
Probably not. No justification, just no.

Question 54

What is the worst psychological torture you can imagine suffering? Anything causing even minor physical injury should not be considered.
Anything to do with making me lose my grasp on reality. Injecting me with LSD or any other hallucinogens then showing images of my biggest fears. That would be the worst thing I can imagine without adding physical pain to the equation.

Question 53

How do you react when people sing "Happy Birthday" to you in a restaurant?
It's a mix of happy, self conscious and embarrassed.

Question 52

For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
I'm grateful for the good friends I have been fortunate enough to surround myself with. I realize that there are many kinds of people in the world, not all of which are people that you can really trust. I lucked out that my two closest friends are people I could trust with my life and that follow through every single time.

Question 51

Do you have any specific long-term goals? What is one and how do you plan on reaching it?
Long-term goals? Well there are a few, lets go with the least involved because I don't want to sit here and rant for an hour with my more complicated ones.  I really want to run a full marathon. I just need to make myself get into the habit of training.

Question 50

If you could choose the manner of your death, what would it be?
In my sleep. Short and simple.

Question 49

While parking late at night, you slightly scrape the side of a Porsche. You are certain no one else is aware of what happened. The damage is minor and would not be covered by insurance. Would you leave a note?

I said I'd be honest, and no I would not leave a note. If someone can afford to buy a Porsche and doesn't have it in a garage or parks it in an area that isn't protected than they can afford to fix the damage, and if they can't then why did this guy buy a Porsche. I think things happen for a reason, for all I know karma was just carried out for this guy because they were jerks to someone else.  That's my defense and I'm sticking to it.

Question 48

Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as your dinner guest? as your close friend? as your lover?
Hmmm, dinner guest, now I'm digging in the past here, it says who would I want not necessarily that they have to be alive today.  Haha. I'd probably want Walt Disney, I can't imagine a dinner with him being boring at all.  As a close friend, I would love to be close with Emma Stone, love her! She's so quirky and funny, I totally mesh with people like that. As a lover, well that's a bit harder. I'm a sucker for goofy humor, I just think it's endearing. I think I'm going to go with Adam Sandler on this one, he may not be to strong on the looks but he'd make me laugh.

Question 47

You have the power to go any distance into the future and, after one year, return to the present with any knowledge you have gained from your experience but with no physical objects. Would you make the journey if it carrried a 50 percent risk of death?
Definitely, how could I pass that up?  There are things that I wouldn't risk but this is an adventure of a lifetime, I'd have no choice but to say yes.
