If you were to discover that your closest friend was a heroin dealer, what would you do?
I'd be pissed as hell, I'd ask her why she was being such an idiot and then help her stop. If she didn't then I'd really have to distance myself from her; let her know that friendship would be there once she decided to stop the nonsense and go on about my life. I won't be considered a hypocrite, and to continue a close friendship with someone who is doing something that is strongly against your moral code, to me that just raises the question of where your own self respect is? Just to clarify there's never a need to be rude about the way things go, unless you have that type of rapport with the person. Just politely digress.
